The Illusion of Separation in the Body: A Somatic Perspective
In my work as a bodyworker, breathworker and nonverbal communication consultant, I explore how the body holds the story of our first experience of separation - and how that experience shapes the way we think, feel, and relate to the world.
From the moment we are born, the body undergoes a profound transition. We move from a state of complete connection - where all needs are met effortlessly - to a reality where we must breathe, receive, and exist as an individual. For many, this is the body’s first imprint of separation.
This moment doesn’t just happen momentarily
- it is felt, registered, and remembered in the nervous system.
